Coral: Focus & App Blocker · Last updated July 19, 2026

Coral: Focus & App Blocker ("Coral", "the app") is developed by SulfurByte ("we", "us"). This policy explains what information the app handles and what happens to it. The short version:

Coral has no accounts, no ads, and no analytics. Everything you do in the app stays on your device. The only data that leaves your phone is what's needed to process your subscription purchase, and that never includes what you do in the app.

Data stored on your device

Coral keeps all of its working data locally on your phone, in the app's private storage:

None of this is ever uploaded, collected by us, or shared with anyone. Deleting the app's data or uninstalling it permanently deletes all of it.

Accessibility service

Coral uses Android's accessibility API to make its App Timer feature work. When you enable the service, Coral can detect which app is in the foreground (to know when a blocked or limited app opens), display its block and countdown screens over those apps, and detect the YouTube Shorts player on screen if you have chosen to limit Shorts.

All of this processing happens entirely on your device. Coral does not collect, log, store remotely, or share any information obtained through the accessibility service, not the apps you use, not your screen contents, nothing. The service is used exclusively to enforce the app limits you yourself configure.

Usage access

With your permission, Coral reads your device's app-usage statistics (Android's usage access permission) to suggest your most-used apps during setup and to enforce daily time budgets for the apps you limit. This information is read and processed on your device only and is never transmitted anywhere.

Purchases and subscriptions

Coral Pro subscriptions are processed by Google Play. We never see or store your payment details. To manage subscriptions we use RevenueCat, a subscription-infrastructure service. RevenueCat receives a randomly generated anonymous identifier for your app installation, your purchase receipt, and basic device information (device model, OS version, app version), enough to know whether your subscription is active, and nothing about how you use the app. See the RevenueCat privacy policy.

Notifications

Planting reminders and session-complete notifications are scheduled locally on your device. No notification data leaves your phone.

What we don't do

Data retention and deletion

Local data lives only on your device: clear the app's storage or uninstall the app to delete it. To request deletion of the anonymous purchase data held by RevenueCat, contact us at the address below and we will pass the request on.

Children

Coral is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone, children included.

Your rights

If you are in the EU/EEA, you have rights under the GDPR, including access, correction, and erasure of personal data. Since Coral holds no personal data about you on our side beyond the anonymous purchase record described above, most requests can be answered immediately; either way, contact us and we will help.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, the new version will be posted at this address with an updated "last updated" date. Material changes will be highlighted in the app.
